James Roday, an American actor, and Maggie Lawson, an actress, started dating in 2006. They first ran into each other while acting as love interests on the American comedy series Psych.

Roday played the role of independent consultant Shawn Spencer, and Lawson played Juliet “Jules” O’Hara, a junior investigator for the Santa Barbara Police Department. On the other hand, their on-screen fling that developed into true love couldn’t endure more than seven years.

James Roday’s earnings

As of November 2022, Jimmy Roday’s net worth was roughly $10 million.

The connection between James Roday and Maggie Lawson

Maggie Lawson and James Roday’s on-screen romance developed into a committed union. The married pair on-screen started dating in 2006. The romance did not, however, survive as long as it did in the television show. In 2014, they ended their seven-year romance without giving a reason.

Ex-Girlfriend Marries After Breakup

Maggie Lawson moved on from her Psych co-star James Roday in early 2014 and met a new man. She allegedly met him on the ABC series Back in the Game set, according to Worldation.

In the show, Lawson portrayed Terry Gannon Jr. and Koldyke portrayed Dick Sligbaugh. After becoming engaged in November 2014, Lawson and Koldyke were married in August 2015. They split in early 2017, just two years after getting married, therefore the union did not last very long.

Since divorcing his on-screen wife and ex-girlfriend, Maggie Lawson, James Roday hasn’t been associated with anyone. On the other hand, Roday and Lawson’s supporters would like to see them resume their relationship.

Yet, the Coming Soon actor seems to be focusing on his acting profession. With young actress Lizzy Greene, he has played a significant lead part in ABC’s American family drama, A Million Little Things, since 2018.

In the show, he portrays Gary Mendez, a persona with self-deprecating humor and total emotional control. The show’s third season will debut on November 19, 2020.

His filmography, TV appearances, and wealth

American actor James Roday is best known for playing Shawn Spencer in the 2006–2014 USA Network television series Psych and its spinoffs. He was born on April 4, 1976, and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He attended Taft High School in Texas.

After studying theatre at New York University’s Experimental Theatre Wing, the Psych star later graduated with a bachelor’s degree in fine arts. During his college years, Roday played piano and sang lead for the band Dogberry. Even as a tribute to “The Sundays,” he and his bandmate recorded the group’s track, 24 Hours.

His love and interest in the performing arts led him to start his acting career. In plays like Three Sisters, A Respectable Wedding, and Severity’s Mistress, he first made appearances.

With Canadian actor Ryan Reynolds, he made his feature film debut in the 1999 movie Coming Soon. His major break came in July 2006 with the debut of the USA Network original series Psych. The popular show had eight seasons before it was canceled in 2014.

Along with Gravy, Quest for Truth, Rosewood, and Into the Dark, the Fortune Rookie actor also directed a couple of Psych episodes. The Texas native’s stellar career has resulted in a net worth of $10 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. He is also a founding member of the nonprofit LA theatrical company RED DOG SQUADRON.
