Gal Luft, an Israeli researcher who went missing on April 25, has an arrest order out from the US authorities. According to The Jerusalem Post, Luft was detained at Cyprus’ Larnaca International Airport on suspicion of transporting weapons into China and Libya.

He was supposed to be deported to the US, but after gaining parole from a Larnaca magistrate, he disappeared.

Gal Luft’s formal arrest warrant was issued on March 28 as a result of his failure to show up at a Paphos police station. Later, he denied supplying guns in a tweet, claiming the accusations were untrue and the result of a US government plot.

He maintained that he was a target because of his criticism of American foreign policy. For more Wikipedia information about Gal Luft, keep reading.
